Dr Sobeih has over 25 years experience in plant photobiology, crop water relations, novel irrigation techniques and their application in international horticulture.
While his expertise is not confined to countries with arid climates it has been his main area of interest throughout his professional career. In recognition of this expertise across these fields Dr Sobeih is acting as a senior agricultural consultant in Mediterranean and Middle-Eastern countries. He brings to Arid Agritec a range of experience in fundamental scientific research from British universities (Nottingham and Lancaster) the application of novel technologies in sustainable crop production and over 15 years of project management experience.
Dr Jason P. MoorePhD (Director of Research).
Dr Moore has a diverse background in economics, financial management and plant science. Following completion of his PhD at Lancaster University in 2002 he secured the first ever UK Horticultural Development Council Research Fellowship to investigate the potential benefits of new state-of-the-art tunnel structures and SMART crop covers in UK horticulture.
This extremely successful four year project was directed by a selection of influential growers and it identified real benefits from the use of these covers in terms of increasing yields, reducing protection costs, improving pre-and post harvest crop quality and shelf-life.
